What do You Need?

Need a shoulder to lean on… Deut. 33:12, The beloved of the LORD dwells in safety. The High God surrounds him all day long, and dwells between his shoulders.

Need some answers… Jeremiah 33:3,  Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

Need to know you’re not alone… Psalm 145, The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.

Need an ear to listen… Isaiah 65:24, It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.

  2. Beautiful truth, Sam.

  3. Sweet and precious friend, today I came “needy” and empty, and I am leaving filled. Thank you. Sometimes a gentle reminder of all we have in Christ removes the “alone-ness” that the enemy loves to make us feel on vulnerable days. Thank you for the support, the assurance, the presence and the confidante.
He sees, He knows, He is with me and He cares,

    • He’s so good, isn’t He? Earlier this afternoon I was sitting on the couch just talking with the Lord and He sent these gentle reminders to me. So thankful they’ve encouraged you today friend. May His Spirit remind you of these precious promises in times of need.

      Love you!

  5. I LOVE Deut. 33:12. The NIV says “The one the Lord loves rests between His shoulders.” I LOVE that truth!!!!

    Your post is simply refreshing.

    Hugs and prayers,

  6. Great post Sam! I needed these reminders today:) -Audry Cece (www.thedontlovedare.com)

  7. I just love The Word!

  8. This post came to my phone immediately after I had just taken a phone call from the man I’ve been dating. He called to tell me he got back together with his ex girlfriend. Honestly, right now, these verses seem quite empty and hollow…but maybe…I might be able to believe them again.

  9. I preach humbleness to others but don’t take my own advice when I really, really don’t like her. She really, really hurt me. She shouldn’t have helped herself to what was mine. I printed your blog and will read it everyday as a reminder to myself how to practice humbleness. I will go to her house, eat her food, kiss her, and smile regardless of how I fell inside. I will pray for her and maybe God will fix my heart too. Thanks,

  10. Just asking for prayers to help me carry my burden.
I have severe COPD and my breathing is not good at all.
I try and and stay upbeat and positive but some days I
just have my own pity party.
I turned all my worries over to God and I usually do
okay but sometimes I forget I don’t need to worry also, it’s
    being done for me.
thanks for a place to speak when my heart is heavy.
