You Call. He Responds.

There’s a paradigm shift blazing, burning, basking in the sun. A beautiful death.

Leaves must either toughen to withstand the burrs and chills of winter. Or accept a soft fall to the earth. Where they kiss the tender dirt, settling in…breathing new life to the very roots from which they once drew life.

Those leaves which accept their death grade into vivid colors, deep beauty. Reds yellows oranges. Their departure from their branch creates a tight home for a new bud to sprout green after the long cold winter.

Sometimes our deaths are nothing short of gorgeous. Open ears are orbs of beautiful mercy. Mercy that slays judgement, creating room for new relationships to grow.

Overlooking an offense is a glimmer of loveliness. Forgiveness fells bitterness, and a new bud of hope appears. A certain sin is chopped off — guilt dies and refreshment blooms.

It’s never too late to let loose that which needs to go. To die to ourselves. How?

Calling on Him. Responding to His character. Our soul was created to know His Name and glimmer His reflection.

  1. Sam! Beautiful words. Oh what peace it brought to my spirit to know God’s names carry such great power! The one that spoke to me most was Jehovah Mekoddishkem. Especially with speaking at a woman’s retreat this weekend, it’s affirming to know that He calls me to holiness and that He gently reminds me that it’s β€œThe Lord who sets me apart.” The timing of this post is remarkable. I think it was just for me. I’m so honored to have you visit my blog. I pray God blesses you for blessing so many others!

  2. You create such beauty with your words., friend.

  3. Beautiful Sam! πŸ™‚ I am clinging to all the names right now, sister!

Please don’t include me in the give-away…you know I have it already!!! πŸ™‚

  4. Jahova Rapha….my restorer. I am a walking testimony of God’s restoration power and I cherish every reminder of that fact. Thank you so much for reminding me who I am in the Lord today.
    Blessings to you,

  5. Hi sister πŸ™‚ It’s hard to say exactly ONE Name that I clung to- I heard His voice in all of them. I think Jehovah Rapha was the first one I “collapsed into.” Thank you for reminding me Who He Is today.

    Your sister in Christ, Katie
